Heathfield Silver Band meets for regular Tuesday night practices in Alexandra Road, Heathfield in their own band room. There is a mini band (beginner/improver) rehearsal from 7.15 - 8pm. The main band rehearses between 8-10pm.

We give regular concerts, play at fetes, shows, garden parties, weddings, church services, bandstands and are also a marching band. We are a regular feature in the local bonfire carnivals including Lewes Bonfire on 5th November when we march with The Cliffe Society.

We have a wide age range in our band with a good number of younger members, starting from the age of 9. We always welcome new players of any standard. We would particularly welcome bass players and trombones.

Latest news: Our Grand Open Day and Coffee Morning, September 3rd 2005, was a great success. David Dimbleby was our guest of honour; seen here trying out the Flugelhorn, with Frankie Lulham conducting and Mostyn Cornford our treasurer and master builder of our extension holding the medal he was presented with at the Open Day. A special fanfare was written for the day by Sarah Leeves entitled "Fanfare For the Common Band".
